WWW Wednesday is a weekly prompt hosted by Taking on A World of Words. If you wish to join, all you have to do is answer the following three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What Are You Currently Reading?
I just started these two books. I’ve heard good things about both, and am looking forward to reading them.
Fifty Words For Rain by Asha Lemmie is set in Japan, just after the end of WW2, and follows a young biracial girl’s coming of age, and the prejudices she faces for the colour of her skin.
Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi follows a Ghanian family in present day Alabama. I read Homegoing by the same author last year, and loved it and am interested in reading this book, especially as it deals with mental health issues.
What Did You Recently Finish Reading?
The Arctic Fury by Greer Macalister was the last book I finished, and also my last read of January. It was an ideal read for winter, especially living in a cold climate! I was intrigued from the very beginning, and loved the alternating time lines, and the mystery elements to the story! I hope to review it soon! As you can see, I had a cute little reading buddy! Homer loves soft blankets, and I took this opportunity to capture a book photo!
What Do You Think You’ll Read Next?
I’m hoping to read one of these of these wonderful books next! I also have a lot of medical memoirs on their way, and probably will pick up one of them when they arrive.
What books do you hope to read in February?
